Child & Youth Therapy

(Ages 2-17)

You are welcome here.

Does your child or teen suffer from anxiety, unexplained tummy aches, difficulties in their peer or family relationships, low self esteem, low mood, or low motivation? Perhaps you have tried giving them the skills they need but feel you are both at the end of your rope. You are not alone. While these are relatively common challenges that our youth face, they do not have to stay stuck there. We are here to help!

How We Can Help

We take a holistic look at how the societal (i.e. social media culture), environmental (living and school environment), developmental, relational, emotional, and spiritual aspects of your life interact with the difficulties you may be facing. Our approach involves building a healthy and trusting therapeutic relationship, acknowledging your child or youth’s strengths, and developing clear goals and strategies, all through the use of art and play-based methods. Our ultimate goal is to help your child develop a healthier self confidence in themselves, all the while giving you tools to bolster your family relationships.

** Play Therapy based on Theraplay® Principles

In Theraplay® we target specific therapeutic concerns through a guided parent-child, play-based interaction, followed by a parent review session. Theraplay is an evidence-based model and can be used effectively with both young children and youth!
